Mental health is often thought of as a taboo topic. But, as a life-long anxiety sufferer with occasional depression episodes, as well as a mom of children with mental health needs, I wanted to create a safe space to talk about these topics. So here it is.

Now, 1 year since the day she was released from the hospital and sent home on the Lexapro. 1 year ago since the nightmare at home began.

Her therapist says we have come a long way and they even got to the root of most of her issues today: nervousness. She gets nervous about not being able to control a situation and the emotions.
We have seen HUGE improvements over the past 3 weeks Her Play Therapist notes how much JF is reverting back to the sweet Princess she first met.
Princess JL and I picked her up from the hospital and brought her home. She was quiet the entire ride home and even slept half the way (naps are always a rarity with her).
