I mean, you think you know someone after almost 23 years together! I did not know what to think when I uncovered the truth. I was disgusted and upset.
He and I both fail daily. We are not perfect. Our marriage is not perfect. But, it is great. I mean, compared to what it once was I have no complaints.
We began going on dates. Just he and I. We took the kids on fun outings. Attended church together. And, eventually, he began staying overnight.
We came to agreements. We talked rationally. We decided to be friends for the kids. To co-parent. To do this together.
But it was really a short lived honeymoon phase. Once back home we went back to life. He worked. I went to school. And 3 months later we were pregnant with our first baby.
He then said some stuff. Got down on one knee. Pulled out a ring. And popped the question… sorta. Will you marry me… or what?
Top 5 reasons I still love my husband after 21 years together and 18 years of marriage. He still loves me on Valentine’s Day and every day.

One kiss from my high school sweetheart was the start of a lifetime of love and laughter… and so much more.
